Mickey Caught A Fish !

We took another fishing trip on September 24 as per mickey’s request. He wanted to take advantage of the good weather so we went. First stop, Carnation, it was a quiet town. We drove around the downtown area looking for bait which we end up not  needing one because it was not in the season, no bait allowed. We settled at the bottom of the bridge, we walked a little further ,closer to the river.

After about 2 hours of waiting , mickey finally caught a fish! It was a baby fish , he was so excited and happy like as if he caught a giant fish, LOL! He was like a little kid who caught a fish for the first time :) Here’s a few more pictures I took on the other fishing area, it’s called Plum River.

Safeco Field Home of the Seattle Mariners

Last September 17, 2011, we watch baseball game at Safeco Field. It was Mariners vs Rangers. Pops got some tickets courtesy of their good friend at church. We were at the Home plate suite section of the park. The park was actually similar to AT&T park at SF, it was by the water. It was bigger though compare to SF and it has a retractable roof which is kinda cool to see when it moves. The crowd wasn’t as loud and crazy, I didn’t hear anybody cuss or scream as loud as I do, LOL! I just wish that they had a bigger screen in the center field because I can’t hardly read the names of the players. They had so much advertisement that fills up the whole screen but other than that it was a nice park.

Jason wasn’t too excited to wear Mariners hat but I did. I give my support to Seattle and anyways they are on a different league to my SF Giants. Go Mariners! Even though they didn’t win that day it was a fun family day for all of us. Everyone took advantage of the free food especially my Sweetie. I think he eat all the food in the kitchen and even bought himself a big scoop of ice cream, he was having a blast! I’m surprised that he did not have any emergency that day with all the hotdog, tacos, peanuts, cheese and cookies etc. he ate. Good job!

First Fishing Trip

September 10, 2011: We went to Middle Fork Snoqualmie River to go fishing and to relax with family. The place wasn’t too far from where we live, it’s about 35-40 minutes drive. We have to drive on  gravel when we where about 3/4 away, it was so dusty and we are driving a little slower than normal speed.Michael was surprised that there are few house built and lots that are for sale in the area.Duh? of course that was more than 10 years ago the last time he was here, LOL! We took a short hike down the river.

It was quiet and very relaxing place to unwind.

Here are the pictures of us. Michael was teaching Jason the basic 101 of fishing. Jennifer sat and laughed at everyone while she ate chicheron! It was quite fun to watch both of them. I hope Jason learned something.

As soon as Mom sat down on her chair , she started eating. She bought a lot of snacks but it was a good thing because we did not bring any food and I was hungry anyways, LOL! :)

Washingtonians?

Today me and Michael went to Northbend to get our Washington DL. I was worried that I will not pass my vision test because  I may need glasses when driving. I am in denial that my eye sight if not so good anymore, I refuse to go to have my eyes check. I don’t think I will like wearing eyeglasses nor a contacts. At the office, the lady went ahead and processed Mick’s paper work and obviously he passed the vision test. It was my turn, the lady told me to look into  this device for vision screening, at first, I can read the letters from the left side but it started to get blurry and that’s when I started to get nervous that I am going to fail this test. She told me to try it again and she kept asking me if I could see the letters. I said  “not really”, she asked me again if I wear contacts or glasses, I said no. I thought she’s going to tell me that I need to have my eyes check first but she was really nice and made me do it again. I am not even sure if I have all the letters correctly but I passed. Honestly I think she just let me go. But I am so thankful that I got my ID, LOL! I was lucky! So we are officially Washingtonians!

It’s the Big Move!

We rented a truck and a carriage for Mick’s car. The night before we slept on the floor, LOL! Apparently, I forgot that we still need to sleep one more night at the apartment after we pack our things and I’m supposed to leave some blankets out for us to use that night.Of course I had a senior moment I forgot! My brilliant idea was to sleep in a cardboard box. Bad idea, I could not sleep and my back hurts. We had to wake up at 4 AM because we wanted to be on the road by at least 5 AM. Mick’s good friend Lavelle volunteered to drive the truck because he’s concerned about Mick’s driving with a car carrier. What a good guy! We started driving at 6 AM. We stopped for breakfast at McDonald’s and continue driving. We have seen mountain after mountain after mountain but it was a good scenery. I drove more than 300 miles on the last leg. Mick have to relieve Lavelle from driving, he’s back is hurting. It was past 11 PM when we got to Mick’s parents house, we are all exhausted from the long drive. Glad we made it though.

Website

I can’t believe that making a website could take up so much of your time. It took me at least 2 days just to decide on the color and background of our family website. And I am still not completely satisfied with it. Arrgh! now I know why my sweetie takes forever on his laptop everyday.

It’s 1:15 am and we are both on our laptop AGAIN while we wait for my brother Martin. He’s driving from work in Sacramento. He’s going to have lunch with us tomorrow to say bye-bye :(

So we’re here just waiting…
